Hello! I’m Felicity and I’d like to tell you about Sidmouth Craft Hub.
As someone who has always loved to craft (as I know many others do), I have often found it difficult to source both craft supplies and crafting sessions locally.
In late 2022 I was so pleased to find that a shop premises came up for sale in Mill Street. I thought it would be the perfect property for creating a dedicated Craft Hub. It was a huge pleasure to have Sidmouth Craft Hub formally opened on 15 July 2023 by Prof. Alan Cotton MBE.
We are delighted to have a dedicated Craft Room where we offer a wide range of tutored craft classes, mainly for adults, but with children’s classes in the school holidays. The adjacent shop supplies haberdashery, wools and yarns, and lots of lovely craft kits and supplies.
I do hope that you will find the Craft Hub a useful addition to Sidmouth. If you have any suggestions for crafts or supplies that you would like me to offer, I’d love to hear from you!
Who will you meet in Sidmouth Craft Hub? Let me introduce the staff:

Hi! My name is Jo Wilson
I have lived in Sidmouth since 2016 and adore living by the sea, having come from SE London. Sewing and cross-stitch were my main passions as I was growing up, but I now love trying my hand at different crafts, with varying success! I am a keen gardener and love being surrounded by nature. I also enjoy reading and meeting up with friends.
As a mum of two and former Primary School Teacher, one my favourite activities with children was something creative. It always amazed me how wonderfully different results were from the same materials given. It is a delight to be working with Felicity at Sidmouth Craft Hub and look forward to meeting you!

Hello, I’m Lynn Davis
With a mother who was a talented tailor I grew up surrounded by scraps of material which I soon found were ideal for making my dolls’ clothes. As a teenager I turned my hand to sewing on-trend outfits (or so I thought!) for those all important Saturday night discos.
Family life and work commitments led to crafting taking a back seat but as my spare time has grown my passion for crafting been rekindled. I’ve tried too many different activities to mention here but now particularly enjoy making my own jewellery. Oh, and during lockdown I turned my hand to making crochet bobble hats for the entire family, though I notice that most of these have mysteriously disappeared.
I must say that I’m super excited to have the opportunity to help out at the Sidmouth Craft Hub and hope to have the opportunity to try even more wonderful crafts!
