Kintsugi

Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese craft of repairing broken pottery to make it beautiful again. “Kint” means “gold” and “Sugi” means “to repair or mend”.

In this Kintsugi class we will learning how to break a bowl in a controlled manner, then learning the steps to creating a unique piece of art. We will be using epoxy glue and gold dust to repair our bowls.

It is a thoughtful, technical and creative craft, so come with patience, a steady hand and an open heart ready to embrace the caring as well as the fun sides of Kintsugi.

No previous experience is necessary. All tuition, materials and refreshments are provided.
